After buying this on 9/23/11 I finally put it on the bed and it is magnificent. A whole-bed heating pad. Just wait until the cat notices! The whole or half bed setting along with head/torso/leg zones is magnificent, works perfectly and it has a remote! : The wiring is well disguised/padded and I could barely feel it even when putting it on my bed.
I have wanted a heated mattress pad ever since I lost one in a move about 15 years ago. No more cold feet (even with socks) and cold bottom. Oh, and it has a "pre-heat" feature. Interested yet?
So, if you are on the fence about buying this, I say go for it. I think it would be a purely wonderful thing to give/receive as a holiday present!

I received this a few weeks ago and have been using it the last week. I LOVE this pad. I like to use the foot section only as the rest of me gets pretty hot overnight while my feet remain chilly so this was the perfect solution! On the lowest setting for my side of the bed, my feet stay warm without being too hot and if I forget to turn the pad off in the morning, the auto shut-off works perfectly. I use the "preheat" setting when I first start getting ready for bed and about 5 minutes later when I hop in, the foot section is warm and snuggly! I switch over to the lowest setting and voila - a perfect night's sleep with warm tootsies and no overheating for the rest of me. My hubby gets to sleep on oblivious to it all since he doesn't want his side heated at all. I put a waterproof protector over it and still it works wonderfully well.

I searched quite extensively for an electric blanket or mattress pad that would heat a queen size bed without two controls, since I sleep alone and wanted only one control for the whole bed. No electric blanket met that criteria, but I did find this amazing heated mattress pad that had a wireless control which could be used to heat the whole bed, or could be set for a dual control for two users. The control has three zones for each body section, and is very easy to program and use. There are large wires that connect to the mattress pad and must run under the bed to the base unit which transmits the signals to the remote. I have a platform bed, so the wires have to run on the floor on one side of the bed. They are out of sight, so it is not a problem. The remote is wireless, which gives you the freedom to place the remote anywhere you desire. The pad is comfortable and no wiring is detectable through the pad.
